Lucky is a deaf Pit Bull who was abandoned by foster parents outside their home and left to die of starvation in cold weather.
Watch the doctors explain how Lucky was emaciated and now he is recovering!
Lucky was found outside the fostering home in Cobb County. Georgia police are running an investigation regarding lucky’s abuse. He was found caged in a crate and starving. The one-year-old Pit Bull was found Saturday at a home in Smyrna.
Vets examined him and found out that he couldn’t move due to the abuse he suffered. Dr. Lexie Outlaw-Mahn was shocked to see lucky like this. She couldn’t believe someone could do this to a dog. Vets also explained that Lucky lost 20 pounds in two weeks.
But Lucky was strong and had high spirits. He is now in better shape than his weak form when he arrived at Woodland Animal Hospital in Locust Grove.
Justine Stinnett described the horrible incident as the worst thing she has seen in her life. She was the one finding Lucky in the crate outside the house. She was devastated knowing that the poor dog was stuck in here in the cold and the rain.
Stinnett received the deaf Pit Bull from a friend who couldn’t keep him. She hoped Stinnett could find him a better home. Stinnett took Lucky to a foster home but they stopped returning her calls two weeks ago. That was when Stinnett went to the home and found the abused dog.
Police announced that they ran the investigation and so far there are not suspects. Vets, on the other hand, are trying their best to bring Luck back to his condition. They explained that it isn’t about giving him large amount of food, he needs care before being ready for adoption.
